Winter Skin Savers
It has started to turn really cold recently, and with the cold comes dry and dehydrated skin. Your skin dries out because of the temperature outside (freezing with wind chill and dry air) and because of the temperature inside as we turn up the heating to keep ourselves warm. All this dryness can lead to itching, sensitivity, unsightly chapping and parched, rough skin, especially in exposed areas.
For an intensely hydrating treatment for winter skin, why not try one of these beauty tips using products from the Kukui Oil Collection:
- Extra hydration at bath time
Apply the Soothing Bath Oil to your body and massage it in before you have your bath. This means that your skin will get the full skin conditioning benefits of the oil and then, when you sink into your bath, it melts off into the water and blooms into a luxurious milky bath. It's a wonderfully soothing and comforting feeling.
- Itchy scalp treatment
Some people also suffer from dry and itchy heads in the winter so try the Wonder Balm on your scalp. It's specially designed to deal with patches of skin that are excessively dry or rough and it works just as well where the skin structure is delicate.
- Overnight lip protection
Your skin won't stop losing moisture while you sleep. If you want to keep your lips fully hydrated, apply the Wonder Balm copiously before you nod off and you will wake up with beautifully smooth and supple lips in the morning.
- Don't ignore what you can't see
Just because people can't see them so much in the winter, it doesn't mean your legs should miss out. In fact, I find that tights are the worst culprits when it comes to drying out skin. By applying Hydrating Body Lotion morning and evening, you'll be sure to keep your pins protected from moisture loss. That goes for your tummy and back, too!
