It's final preparation time
It’s final preparation time here. We have just under a month to go until our launch day so I am really busy liaising with the stores to make sure they have everything they need as display and merchandising items.
I am also a constant visitor at our warehouse as I get news of another box of brand new stock arriving and I hurry down to check each product and oversee the final packaging of each one as they are boxed and sealed with labels and ribbon. I never knew it could take so long and, because I want everything to look just right, hours are long and hard at the moment!
What has really struck me is the fragrance of the Candle. It immediately fills the air just as soon as you open the box. I chose a fragrance of Gardenia and Jasmine because, to me, that smell is synonymous with Hawaii. Both flowers are found in abundance there and the air is often filled with their scents, especially at night which is when the aroma from the Jasmine flower is at its height. They are worn in Hawaiian leis (flower garlands worn around the neck) so are very symbolic of Hawaii, too. The fragrance used in the Candle and other products is very floral, sweet and heady with a warm, sultry base that evokes the exoticism and romance of a far-off place.
